A journey deep within your mind, body and soul
that is timeless and beyond description.
That is Reiki.

Reiki is a Japanese technique used for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. The hands of the practitioner are lightly laid upon a fully clothed client at various points on the body.
The treatment lasts between 45 minutes to 1 hour. My clients have described a Reiki treatment as feelings of peace, stress reduction, unconditional love and the ultimate in relaxation.
It is not clear how Reiki works but we know that it does. Various hospitals and cancer centers are now embracing Reiki and including it as a compliment to the traditional treatments that they offer. It is widely accepted and commonplace as part of the Japanese lifestyle approach to wellness and is becoming more and more popular in the USA.
Reiki is a visit deep within the body, mind and spirit that is timeless and BEYOND description. I say that there is no description for the feeling derived from Reiki because it is different for each individual and different from treatment to treatment. The Reiki knows where to go and what to do. The practitioner is merely the facilitator.
Reiki is not a religion but a healing connection to that which keeps you alive and well. It is not hypnosis or massage. All that it takes for Reiki to work is a desire to be well, patience and a willingness to raise your own consciousness. Sometimes an alteration in lifestyle is needed so an imbalance does not recur.

What does Reiki feel like? Most people, who come for Reiki for the first time, usually do not know what it is or does. It is an immediate feeling of relaxation. It relieves stress and balances the four bodies. Reiki clears accumulated blockages and stagnant energy patterns. It knows exactly where to go and what to do.
There is a saying in Reiki, “A little Reiki is better than none.” Each body determines the number of treatments required to make it well. Aruvedic science holds the philosophy that the body is like a river and is never the same from day to day. In the case of severe dis-ease the closer together the treatments are, the better. I believe it can help everyone. Reiki is about balance in the subtle biomagnetic field that surrounds a physical body. It flows like a river and sometimes can develop blockages or a sluggish, stagnant flow. Reiki works to balance and keep the flow moving. It works in conjunction with traditional medical treatments as a complement. |
